In the Gulf of Lions, situated on the Mediterranean coast (also called Amethyst coast), the beach stretches 8 km from Saint Pierre to Cabanes.
The coast is cooler in summer, where one can fish for mackerel, or loup in the winter, these being the most common but there are various other species.
The beach is attended by lifeguards, 7 hours a day 7 days a week from mid June to mid September and is equipped with showers.
